The Masungi Georeserve is a conservation area and a rustic rock garden tucked in the rainforests of Rizal. Masungi’s name is derived from the word “masungki” which translates to “spiked” – an apt description for the sprawling limestone landscape found within. (masungigeoreserve.com)
In the midst of our busy schedule last last week (since this is 2 weeks late hehe) we managed to unwind in an exhausting way. It took us almost 2 months of waiting before we finally visit Masungi.
March 6, 2016
Is our supposed to be schedule but we got there an hour late because we got lost HAHAHA so I highly suggest that trippers should follow the given link that Masungi gave (obviously we didn’t :P) We got a bit antsy because there’s a note in the mail saying that entry may be restricted for late comers but thank goodness Ms. Anne welcomed us genteel. 🙂
RANDOM TIPS FROM EXPERIENCE:
- Be on Time
If you don’t want your tour guide to made a shortcut and miss some of the scenic place on your trail, be early as you can and if possible use a private vehicle for a less hassle trip.
- Use handy camera
Don’t risk your android/iphone to capture moments because the place is full of ups and downs and CLIFFS but if you’re brave enough SO BE IT. I highly suggest GoPro or any action cam for better snaps and recordings of your adventures.
- Wear Comfy get up
To keep yourself looking fresh on your pics while in the trail, wear an attire you’re comfortable with and at the same time put some sunscreen to protect your skin especially to those people with a schedule at noon time.
FOR ME IT’S A MUST. Be fit as early as you can because 3-4 hours of walking, climbing is not a joke. (The day I almost died)
- Prepare random and signature pose
Make your visit a memorable one! Prep up an unforgettable act to share with your friends!
A spectacular view through a web-style platform.
It’s kinda scary moving on the sapot because you can see below the spiky rocks.
air of paradise connected by rope of bridge.
The enthusiastically anticipated spot. Definitely my fave!
From Duyan, we were told that there’s a great and healthy refreshments awaits us!
YUNGIB NI RUBEN
The place that gave us a short moment to get refreshed literally because of the coolness inside the cave. I actually hugged one of the cold rocks lol.
Looking happy on the outside but suffering physically. This is how strong we are as a person. #hugot
Huge shout out to Kuya Jonard of Masungi for being our friendly guide/photographer!
