Just a few hours drive away from the metro, Las Casas promises an incredible escape filled with culture, relaxation, and old world charm. A fine showcase of Filipino heritage and culture.
We’ve planned and waited months for this to happen and at last, it has come to fruition. This 8th of February, me and my bf went to a tourist spot located in Bataan called Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. We took a 4 hours of travel by riding a bus, a jeepney and tricycle. It was very tiring but we eventually realized that it was worth it as the place is spacious and has plenty of IG-worthy spots. It feels like we really traveled back in time. Everything is picture perfect.
Upon check-in, the front desk officers welcomed us with ‘gulaman’ drinks. They gave us a vicinity map and discussed some of the things we need to know including the schedule of the tours, restaurant operations and possible activities to do. If you are a checked in guests they’ll ask you for an initial deposit of P3000 in case you have lost or damage the keycard and whatsoever but they will return it upon checkout. We didn’t expect that since it’s a huge amount of money and were out of cash!! But good thing they have BDO ATM in one of their casas.
We purchased super sulit deal thru DealGrocer. Package is inclusive of: Overnight Stay in a Deluxe Room for 2; Set Breakfast for 2; Use of Swimming Pool and Beach Area; Heritage Walking Tour; Tramvia ride; hop-on hop-off jeepney ride within Las Casas area. This is what our room looks like!
I didn’t expect the rooms to be modernize and well equipped.
Fine details of the ceiling, 1 queen size bed, with cable tv, blower, fully airconditioned room.
One full granite bathroom with separate bathtub and shower.
The room is located at Accesoria 3 in front of the beach
We had a quick lunch upon arriving at Casa Sta. Rita. A picturesque lunch by the riverside. Food was pricey, well that’s we somehow expected. We ordered sisig (good for both of us) 2 rice and Las Casas iced tea and all cost at P700.
One of the most captivating place.
This is where the ATM is located 🙂
Sanctuario de San Jose
We Filipinos are known to be religious. Inside Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, you will find a seemingly old looking church to fit in the theme of the location, this church is called Sanctuario de San Jose. Despite how it looks, you’ll find the structure a great spot for romantic pictures with your loved ones. If you wish to attend mass or planning to hold wedding, this is the best place for you <3
Paseo De Escolta
Casa Escolta, which has 17 rooms is a replica of a typical row of Escolta buildings in Manila during the early 1900s.
The package is inclusive of breakfast buffet and it was so sulit. There’s so many filipino variances of food to choose from. If I could go back again I would definitely go straight to Hotel de oriente to have breakfast meal all day lol.
Speaking of which, I was quite sad that we weren’t able to go inspect further inside the building. It opens at 9 am but we still have errands to do (that’s how big the place is!) Actually, our time was all consumed by taking pictures in every nook and corner of the place. I can’t leave the place without having a pic in all those spots! Sorry not sorry.
Some Oriente shots
In case you want to bring home some souvenirs and pasalubongs, you can buy them at a store along Paseo de escolta. Experience vintage fashion in Fotografia dela Escolta and you can also wind and relax in Napiya Spa.
Getting around the place is really tiring but you have different options of transportation. Usually there are jeepneys roaming around and you can ride it for free. This is recommended especially in the afternoon where the sun is literally out plus the place is an open area. Another options are via tramvia ride, kalesa and cab. They have bikes too!
We didn’t have enough time to include heritage tour in our schedule. We decided to make a tour of the place on our own so we could stop anytime and take unlimited pics (all decision was mine haha). Our plan timeline was full pack but still it’s really bitin.
RANDOM IG WORTHY PHOTOS

LAS CASAS AT NIGHT
I was more mesmerized after sunset as the street lights, rainbow skies and calmness within the vicinity made me feel more relaxed.
I swear you’ll wish to come again once you visited the place because of its beauty and the place was pretty big.
Happy 6th anniversary indeed. 💏💏💏
How to get there❔❔
From Cubao Genesis terminal, ride a bus going to Balanga terminal
From Balanga, ride a jeep going to Bagac. Jeepney drivers were so hospitable that they find you a trike driver once reach Bagac to take you to Las Casas.
